Bill Joye was born and raised in Charleston, SC. At the age of seven, he attended his first trip to Walt Disney World in 1973. Every year, his family returned to Disney for their vacation. Bill attended Winthrop University receiving his B.A. in Communications in 1988. One month later, he was fulfilling a life long dream of working as a cast member for the Walt Disney Company in Orlando, Florida. During his 4 years at the #1 family vacation destination, he worked in the resorts and guest relations divisions. During Bill’s second year, he interviewed and was hired in the Special Events/VIP tour offices as one of 50 cast members out of 46,000 to provide tours of the Disney property to celebrity and of VIP’s visiting the resort. The list of guests include former CBS anchor Walter Cronkite, NBA Basketball stars Shaquelle O’Neil and Isaiah Thomas, Musician Billy Joel and model Kristy Brinkley to name a few. Bill also served as a part time instructor at Disney University, teaching business executives from around the United States on how to train their company employees in the art of Walt Disney Company’s superior guest service skills.

  Bill has planned over 250 Disney vacations, visiting the resort himself with his family three to four times a year since 1993 to stay informed on the latest park changes. Bill’s oldest son, Billy, just recently celebrated his 54th trip to Walt Disney World. Bill lives in Mt. Pleasant with his wife of 21 years, Heather and their two children, Billy and Noah and has visited the park over 44 times himself.
